American Petro Hunter acquired between a 25 and 50% working interest in 2,000 acres of lands at the North Oklahoma Mississippi Project, located in Payne County. The acreage augments the Company’s holdings to 3,400 total gross acres. The new acreage is located in a key area of the emerging, horizontal drilling play where over 100 foot thick sections of Mississippi Formation are now being exploited by laterally drilled, horizontal wells.
The first horizontal well, the NOM-1H has been in production since July 6th and has been subjected to a frack. The load is currently being pumped off and the well has a predicted stable rate of 100-125 BPD from engineering data.
The second horizontal well, the NOW-2H has been drilled, completed, and commenced commercial oil and gas production sales. The well is to be fracked in December 2011. Coincident within the 1,600 foot lateral Mississippi section a 20 foot sand formation with 100% oil fill should allow the well (once fully completed) to provide comingled production anticipated in the 150-200 BPD range.
An additional 9 locations drilled on 80 acre centers makes up the projected full field development of 11 wells. The estimates of reserves are 150,000 Barrels per 80 acre parcel giving the field a Possible Reserve of 1,650,000.
