American Petro-Hunter Drills Third Horizontal Oil Well as NOM-3H Targets North Oklahoma's Mississippi Lime Play

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the 3rd Horizontal well to be drilled at the North Oklahoma Project Mississippi Lime Play is currently at a depth of about 4,200 feet and drilling ahead. The vertical section and curve into the Mississippi Lime formation has been finished with the horizontal lateral underway. The project operator reports that all phases are proceeding as planned and are on schedule.

The well has been designated NOM-3H and is in the same section of land as the two previously completed producers; the NOM-1H and NOW-2H. The lateral portion of the horizontal length within the 100 foot thick Mississippi pay zone has been engineered for 1,900 feet. [more]

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") today is pleased to announce that the Company's 2nd Horizontal well, the NOW-2H has commenced commercial oil and gas production at the North Oklahoma Mississippi Lime Project.

Following drilling of the horizontal portion of the well, the NOW-2H was completed and tied in to the existing gas line and tank battery. A period of commercial testing and evaluation is now underway. Production data will be assessed and evaluated from the lateral penetration of the Mississippi limestone formation ("Mississippi Lime") which exhibited excellent oil and gas shows in highly fractured reservoir rock. After the requisite period of testing, the Company will determine whether future reservoir fracture stimulation would prove beneficial as demonstrated with the successful program completed at the NOM-1H well. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") today wishes to provide an operational update regarding activities at the Company's North Oklahoma Mississippi Lime (Limestone) Project regarding current drilling activities at the NOW-2H and ongoing improvements to the NOM-1H production well.

The drilling of the NOW-2H horizontal well is moving ahead rapidly with the lateral drilling underway and progressing through the primary Mississippi Lime objective. The Company expects the 1,600 foot section to be finished drilling within the next few days.

The well has already achieved an important result with data indicating excellent oil and gas shows in an upper sand horizon with substantial potential pay thickness. Site arrangements are underway including permitting and requisite documentation in advance of the spud of the newly designated NOW-2H well. The directional drilling contractor has been secured and the Company expects a spud date shortly.

Company Increases Its Horizontal Drilling Program to 29 Potential Wells

(OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is pleased to announce updated plans regarding the Company's continued participation in a proposed field development horizontal drilling program of the Mississippi formation at the North Oklahoma Project.

Based on the commercial success of the recent NOM-1H horizontal well, the Company and working interest partners have determined that the development plan for this newly defined Mississippi oil and gas reservoir can accommodate the drilling of a minimum of 11 horizontal wells.

The drilling schedule, which includes direct offsets to the producing NOM-1H, will involve the drilling of approximately one horizontal Mississippi well every 30 to 60 days with plans to commence the program in early September. The schedule allows for a predictable time frame to drill, complete and put in requisite production facilities for both oil sales plus a gas line hook up every other month.

American Petro-Hunter Commences Natural Gas Sales and Forecasts 155 BOE for July

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH) ("American Petro-Hunter" or the "Company") is very pleased to announce that as of July 5th, the Company began selling natural gas into the pipeline at the North Oklahoma Project. The commencement of gas sales marks the first gas production from the project and confirms the Company as an oil and gas producer.

This inaugural gas sale event will be calculated at a Barrel of Oil Equivalent (BOE) sum at a 6:1 ratio of MCF gas to barrels of oil and will be combined with oil production figures as shipped from the tanks at month end once actual numbers are tabulated and made available by the operator.

The Company is now projecting, with the added BOE gas, that the cumulative daily net production total has now increased to 155 BOE and we are confident of reaching this total during the month of July. This cumulative number represents oil and gas production from four wells in Oklahoma and two in Kansas. [more]
